GW Staff and Faculty Festival FAQ

The 2026 GW Staff and Faculty Festival will take place June 9th (VSTC Campus) and June 10th (Foggy Bottom Campus). You may find helpful answers to questions you may have below.

FAQs

Q: I can't find my invite email.

Check your inbox and spam folder for an email from GW_Recognitiongwu [dot] edu (GW_Recognition[at]gwu[dot]edu), with the subject line "You’re Invited: 2026 Staff and Faculty Festival". If you can't find it, please email GW_Recognitiongwu [dot] edu (GW_Recognition[at]gwu[dot]edu) for assistance.

Q: Where will the festivals take place?

• The Foggy Bottom festival will take place on the first floor of the University Student Center.
• The VSTC festival will take place in Enterprise Hall, Room 102.

Q: What type of activities will be available at the festivals?

Activities will include, but aren't limited to:

• Photo booth
• DJ and dancing
• Bingo (prizes available while supplies last)
• Caricature
• Games
• Lip Sync Battle
• Giveaways (while supplies last)

Q: What type of food will be available at the festivals?

Menus for both the Foggy Bottom and VSTC festivals will be posted here prior to the event! * Note: The menus may be subject to change.

Q: How does the new registration process work?

1. In your initial festival invite you received from GW_Recognitiongwu [dot] edu, you will find ticket registration links for the Foggy Bottom and VSTC festivals.
2. Please register for the festival(s) you plan to attend.
3. Once you have successfully registered, you will receive an email from "ticketstripe" which will contain your unique QR code.
4. When you arrive at the festival(s) please be prepared to show your GWorld card.

Q: I am having trouble registering in Ticketstripe.

Be sure you have selected 1 ticket in the location highlighted below. If the selection remains 0, you will not be able to proceed.

Q: Who should I contact if I need an accommodation?

Please email gw_Recognitiongwu [dot] edu (gw_recognition[at]gwu[dot]edu) if you will need an accommodation for this event. 

Q: Who can attend the event?

The GW Staff and Faculty Festivals are limited to benefits eligible staff and faculty at this time and preregistration is required.

Q: Can the student workers on my team attend?

This event recognizes regular faculty and staff at the university. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate student workers.
