Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), large employers are required to offer minimum essential coverage to employees who are considered full-time as defined by the ACA.
The ACA defines full-time [FT] employees as anyone employed by a given employer for an average of 30 or more hours per week (or 130 hours per month).
As an eligible employee for healthcare coverage under the ACA, you have the opportunity to participate in the GW Health Savings Plan (HSP) and Health Savings Account (HSA).
This year's ACA Open Enrollment will take place Monday, October 5, 2020 through October 23, 2020.
You have 30 calendar days from your eligibility date to complete your enrollment online and provide supporting documentation (if applicable).
You can only make changes to benefits during the Open Enrollment period unless you experience a Qualified Life Event (QLE), such as a change in marital status, the birth or adoption of a child, etc.
