Capital Bikeshare

GW benefit-eligible faculty and staff are eligible for a discounted Capital Bikeshare annual membership of only $25 (regularly $85). Enjoy all the perks of Capital Bikeshare membership for less than 50 cents a week! This discount is for benefits eligible faculty and staff ONLY. 

If you are a GW student who wants to change up your transportation options around the city, check out Capital Bikeshare's Student Membership Program. For $25 per year – a $60 discount from the usual annual membership fee – you can use Capital Bikeshare bikes to get around campus, throughout D.C. and into Maryland and Virginia.

Choose any of the over 300 stations across Washington, D.C., Arlington and Alexandria, VA and Montgomery County, MD and return your bike to any station near your destination.  Check out a bike for your trip to work, Metro, run errands, go shopping, or visit friends and family. 

Rental locations on the Foggy Bottom campus are present on Eye Street and 21st Street, Virginia Ave, Eye Street and 22nd Street, and E and 20th Streets.

How to Get Your Discount

For details and to receive your discount code please complete this Capital Bikeshare Discount Code Form (link for benefit-eligible faculty and staff only).  For questions regarding your form or your discount code, contact [email protected]. 

Please note: The discount is for new annual memberships or when your annual membership ends and cannot be applied to existing annual memberships.  The code may be re-issued to another employee if you do not use the code within 60 days. Limit one code per year per employee. It may take up to two weeks to receive your code.
