Campus Planning and Designing
Employees in this subfamily are responsible for supporting campus planning functions for the university as well as contributing to physical design and architecture needs of the university. Duties include establishing standards for campus design and architecture activities. Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility analysis and planning for projects, developing and disseminating planning policies, and preparing requests for proposals. Employees may develop area plans, land use studies and campus zoning maps. Employees may analyze the impact of campus activities on historic preservation, transportation, sustainability/environment, demographics and economy, to include consultation related to architectural context. Employees may collect data and identify trends for long-term planning.
