Sponsored Projects
Employees in this subfamily are responsible for managing sponsored projects from initial concept through award management. These positions are the signature authority binding the university, and directing the authorization and transmittal of all proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. Key responsibilities include development, negotiations, award set-up, award management, and reporting directly to the sponsor. Additional duties include protecting the university through assurance that proposals and awards are compliant with federal, state, agency, and university policies of grants and contracts, and managing the review of grant and contract award terms and conditions. These positions are within the central division of the Office of the Vice President for Research and work closely with peers within the schools.
