Tuition Exchange
The George Washington University is a member of The Tuition Exchange Program, Inc., a national organization that administers multilateral tuition scholarships for employees of member colleges and universities.
Each year, the program allows a specific number (varies each year) of GW employees' dependent children to enroll in undergraduate degree programs at participating Tuition Exchange member universities. The Tuition Exchange scholarship availability is dependent on the number of spaces available at the admitting institution.
Eligibility
To be considered for the Tuition Exchange Program, you must have four years or more of continuous employment in a benefits-eligible position prior to the close of the Tuition Exchange preliminary application period.
Please review the Tuition Exchange Slide Deck (PDF) to learn more about eligibility, scholarships, and the selection process.
The preliminary application for the academic year 2025-2026 is closed.
Note: Non-GW employees (e.g., employees from other TE member schools) must follow the guidelines of their home institution to apply and participate in the Tuition Exchange program. The selection process at GW is highly competitive; on an annual basis, we receive up to 200 applications for the TE scholarship. Our review process will evaluate each applicant’s previous academic performance. To receive full consideration, please note the application deadlines of your home institution.
