Developing Employees
The university supports professional development and continuous learning for all employees by providing access to a variety of staff training courses, and academic programs. Supervisors are encouraged to work with each employee to identify job-specific training needs and available resources that support achievement of performance goals. It is the responsibility of supervisors to be mindful of their employees' development and education needs and to strongly encourage employees to take advantage of the various training programs the university provides.
Employees should engage in training during scheduled work hours, subject to the operational needs of the department, and with the approval of their supervisors.
