Medical Resident Bonus FAQs
- When will I receive my first paycheck?
Your first payday depends on your start date.
- If you start on 06/16/2026, your first paycheck will be on 07/02/2026.
- If you start on 07/01/2026, your first paycheck will be on 07/17/2026.

- When will I see my bonus paid?
Your bonus payment, with applicable taxes taken, will be processed and included in your BW 15 paycheck on 07/17/2026.
- How are bonuses taxed?
Here is a rough estimate of bonus tax rates:
Federal: 22%
FICA: 7.65%
State (choose one):
DC: 9%
MD: 8%
VA: 5.75%
- What is my net pay going to be?
Net pay depends on your tax elections and benefit deductions. We’re not able to provide an estimate in advance.
